Hello everyone, my name is Jason and live in warren Michigan. Got into smoking bout 3 years ago and just did my 1st competition last week. Took 6th out 9 competitors, not bad for my 1st one. Learned a lot though. Doing a 14.5 brisket tomorrow. Getting it in the grill at 530am. Gonna pull it off around 9 and finish it in the oven(yes I'm cheating) just have a lot going on and don't wanna babysit the grill. I'll take pics as I go. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!

Jason, welcome to SMF!  Congrats on the comp and having fun learning it all.  Sounds like the brisket will be well received.
