New smoker in chicago here. Wife bought me a smoker for my birthday, just fired it up for the first time this a.m. I'll make a thread with the butt I just put on soon..

Hey tropics.. Yea it's just a chat broil vertical charcoal smoker.. And yes I seasoned it per the manual, when I say fired up for the first time, guess I mean with meat.. Tried posting a pic before I put it on but kept giving error msg when trying to upload from iphone.. Meats at 145 at almost 3 hours in right now
