Working on my second oil tank meat heater upper. Read a few of the threads on here and figured it was a decent place to settle in for some tips and recipe scalping.   I am a truck driver when Im not cooking or plotting to cook something. Hope to learn a few things here.

They let Michiganders on here!!!! How is it even possible to smoke anything when your sitting in construction traffic?
How you say? Easy! It's no problem maintaining a 250 temp on a trailer rig when it's sitting still in traffic! LOLBut remember that Toledo was almost part of Michigan at one time (wiki the "Toledo War"). We only handed it over to Ohio after Congress gave us Statehood and the Upper Peninsula in exchange! (A more than fair trade I might add!) ;-)Also, I'm on your I-80 turnpike 2-3 times per year. I can easily say orange barrels know no boundaries. Just be thankful that your state troopers/highway patrol can only see Michigan license plates when pulling over speeders!!! :-POnly kidding around. :-) Welcome again to the forum.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a Kindle Fire, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
