Hey guys thought I would say hi and introduce myself. I started smoking meats about 3 years ago, turkey breast is my favorite so far. Also have made some andouille sausage that turned out great. Had a gas smoker before but it stayed with my old house so now I'm getting ready to get a new charcoal smoker. I plan on trying some cheese with my new one. Great site. I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions.

Hey! Let me be the first to welcome you to SMF ... ask away!
I wouldn't be upset if you shared your Andoullie sausage recipe !

I would share it if I could find it. I found it in an old book of my dads and added some of my own stuff to it. My dad had grown some type of hot peppers and dried them so I used those for the heat and they turned out nice and spicey. Cant wait to try some more.

Welcome to SMF!!!

Glad to have another fellow MidWestern smoker here and definitely looking forward to seeing some of the "Q" you produce with your previous experience!

Welcome to SMF twistertail! I was born and somewhat rasied in the Buckeye State... Toledo to be exact. Spent some of my childhood in Columbus and somehow ended up here in Delaware... it's all a blur now.

Anyway, have fun here; it is a great place to be!

Welcome Twister! I'm here in Sunny Tiffin OH....Actually I'm in Toledo right this minute at work!!! I just smoked some cheese and if you'd want to try it everybody seems to love it...I put a thin coating of granulated garlic, onion and season salt on before I smoke! I had to start smoking smaller chuncks since people were stripping the sides off because they love the exterior. I have also added some cajun seasoning and it was really good. Good luck...would love to see your sausage recipe!
