My name is Jamie Gidge and I live in a wild game and fish paradise Newfoundland, Canada.  I love to fish and hunt so I thought I'd give smoking a try since I have an abundance of wild game and fish.  I am newer then new to the art of smoking so I'm looking forward in an advice and secret recipes.  I recently purchased a new Bradley digital smoker that I'm trying out today for the first time.  The moose is marinating and if it's a failure then I'll feed it to the dog, if the dog don't like it then you may notice a new, slightly used, smoker for sale.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! Would you mind updating your profile to show the other SMF members where you are located?

Also check out ”Jeff's Free 5 day E-Course”, it will teach you bunches no matter your experience level!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Welcome aboard, Jamie!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Just ask when you need help and someone here will have the answer.

Hello fellow Canadian and Bradley owner.

Jamie, I bought my Bradley last fall and started smoking. I had limited success until I found this forum. The members are very generous about sharing their experiences and answering questions.

One of the ways I learned the most was posting pictures and descriptions of my projects. I received suggestions and new ideas.

Welcome to SMF.
