I live in the country and love to cook just about anything from gumboo to pulled pork. I use one the first mes smoker to come one the market but I am thinking about getting one the new ones I am a machinist at Tayolr Machine Works. We build lift trucks I live with my wife and daughter. I hunt I fish. I am looking forward to getting to know the poeple here and learning from them

Gary s thank u. Just for the record I was born in Ft. Worth lived there till I was 15 so I'm a transplant lol
 
How do u start a new thread or better yet how do ask a ? Where everyone can see it. I'm new here and need all the help I can get.
 
Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions

because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

Check with Bearcarver on the MES   he is the local authority He can steer you in the right direction

Welcome to SMF, Hank. The 1st generation MES has a better track record than the Gen2. The way to tell the difference is:
Gen1: controls on top rear and vent on top in the right rear corner.
Gen2: controls in front and vent is on the side wall.
