Hello All,

New member from Rhode Island here (originally from Boston).

Found this site when looking into smoking my own bacon. Looks like a great site.

The name is Mike. Screen name: RIGundog. RI - Rhode Island, Gundog - because I own springers and hunt pheasants/grouse.

I have two smokers;  a little chief top loader and a sausage maker 30lbs country style.

Also use two grills, both webers -gas and charcoal.

Like to make smoked trout and bluefish, jerky, turkey and soon to try bacon and sausage.

Look forward to learning more about it from this group.

Thanks,

Mike Welch

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.

Thanks.

How do you like that Big Green Egg?

Almost bought one a couple of years ago but the store I went to seemed more interested in selling other "stuff".
