This is my first forum of any kind, but I love smoking and building them! I'm a material handler for a metal fab shop and a long time fabracator. I've built one smoker on a trailer and four vertical smokers. When I figure out how I will post a picture. The first of this year I smoked some baby backs for a couple of the guys I work with , now I have about 35 of them I cook for and I enjoy doing it.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from another sunny and hot day in East Texas and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Welcome to the board, Tom! There are a lot of builders here.

I really miss the metal shop in my junior high school. I would love to be able to cut, fold, roll, etc. again. I looked through the windows and the whole shop is gone, it's now divided into classroom spaces. I wonder what happened to all that equipment.

I knew a guy whose family owned a stationary mixer company. The plant had the metal fab equipment to make belt guards, etc. He was able to make portable grills but he only made two or three of them.
