Hello everyone,

I'm a new guy here and thought I'd introduce myself.  I don't have much experience in smoking or grilling, but I grew up in Ukraine where smoked meat and sausage was a huge part of our culture.  I miss that and I want to revive the tradition.

I have a Traeger wood pellet smoker/grill and I've used if for some steaks and chicken and a few times brisket.  I joined the forum because I was looking for an inspiration to build my own smoker.  I plan on making it out of plywood for now.  Once I have my own house I will build something more permanent.

.

Eventually, when I start hunting I would really need to learn how to smoke and can the meat.  Also, we are big on fishing and we love us some fresh smoked Alaskan salmon.

I'm looking forward to learning the amazing art of smoking meat and fish!
