My name is Ej and you can usually find me out in the garden when I am not at work.  Spending so much time outside I thought I would try my hand at smoking. I'm learning that something that looks so simple is going to take a while to learn.  Seems that I will be learning from some of the best right here. See ya around the grill :)

Ej, welcome.  I am a new member also and you will find this forum and its members so helpful and willing to share their knowledge.  I just moved back to Norcal after being down South for nearly 20 years, Inland Empire area.  Where are you from?  Also, how is Carmageddean going?

Thanks Craig for the links.  SoCalBBQ carmageddean is a media hype.  We live in Chino Hills and drove to Huntington Beach yesterday and the freeways were wide open.  Everyone must have been home in their backyard smoking:)
