My local grocer just started carrying Buckboard Bacon in the meat section about 3 weeks ago. This is a large California grocery chain. I had never seen this so I had to take a couple pics. BBB for $6.19 for a 12 oz package. Not even a full pound! I'm so glad that so many of you convinced me to make my own BBB after looking at the many threads you all posted on it.

I'm getting boneless butt(saves me time and effort) at costco for $1.99 a lb and cure probably comes out to about 50 cents a lb. Pretty good compared to store prices.

If the mfg. can sell it good for them, that's the american way.

I don't think anyone here will be buying it though.

Im sure its good stuff, I just love the fact that I learned to make something inexpensively that sells for $6.19 a lb in the stores. I appreciate the skill I learned even more once I saw bbb in the store.
