Going out of town tonight me the gf and my smoker. Makin' a 4hr trip to central cali for my first turkey smoke. I've been raving about the flavor and my parents called me out and want me to smoke the bird this year. I was nervous, but with all the help the SMF family has provided I am confident that this T-day will be memorable (specially if I muff up!)

I just also wanted to say thanks to everyone who contributes their vast knowledge to newbs like myself. I hope that all of you and your loved ones have a very safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thansgiving to you and your family. Good to know you're taking the smoke to central Cali, although I know San Diego is a big beatiful town with a lot of culture and heritage. One of my all time favorite spots is Old Town.

Ahhh, Old Town is nice! It's hard to beat the atmoshpere in OT. I try and go back to visit the folks whenever possible.
