The birds in my area don't understand the concept of sleeping in on a Sunday morning and had me awake at 5:00. Since I was awake I figured it was as good a time as any to get the grocery shopping done, needed some ham and cheese for lunch this week. Get to the store, find out that the deli isn't staffed that early in the day....
Get the rest of what I need and hit the meat case....

Picked up some beef ribs and 2 CAB chuckies for cooking later, then saw the spiral sliced hams on sale. I don't often cook ham, not sure why, but it's not something I think about. On the way home I decided I had a few hours to kill this morning so why not fire up the Egg and cook it there instead of the (gasp) oven, so that's what I did.

Put it in a foil pan, on the Egg for a couple of hours. Used the glaze that came with the ham. Thought it might have dried out from the looks of it, but it hadn't.

Pulled it off and realized I was hungry.... since I had the Egg going I jacked up the temp to 350 and added some biscuits.

Made for a pretty tasty breakfast.

Yes thats one good looking ham sammie to me too. The only thing that could make it any better is if my hands were around it getting ready to take a bite and a dollilop of mustard.

Your spiral ham turned out good, EM. When I tried one, it dried out to the point of being jerkey and definitely had too much smoke.

The biscuit and ham sammie is what threw me over the edge. Love me some biscuits!!

Sweet lookin' sammie there Elly----almost looks like thick cut Bacon in there, instead of ham!
I LOVE IT ! ------------->>
