After reading about all the great smokes going on I succumbed to the urge to light up my smoker.

Just a few items:

Meatloaf made from gound turkey and chicken

Stuffed fatty made from hot italian turkey sausage stuffed with sauteed green apple, onion and mushroom, cheddar cheese and covered with cinammon chipotle rub. Mopped with apple cider.

Stuffed orange bell peppers.

Used hickory cause I needed that strnger smokey taste.

Ok, I'm much better now....

Thanks Cowgirl, it does look good, hopefully it will taste as good. First time with this rub on a fatty.

Yes it does, doesn't it?

I love sauteed green apple in almost anything and I love the combo of sweet and savory.

Looks good Ron. Glad I have something cooking or I would really be in trouble. What did you stuff the peppers with? I've just got to try these soon.

Thanks RIP. It was last minute, I subscribe to Debi's fill the smoker to the gills philosophy, lol.

I was going to do some ABTs also but no peppers at the market.

Thanks Skip.

The peppers are stuffed with a mix of ground turkey, cooked long grain rice, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, white pepper and ketchup.
Then I covered the top with the cap of the pepper and added a dollop of ketchup on top to keep them from drying out (as per Deej's advice).

Usually I stuff them with uncooked meat but I'm finding they take longer then I want to cook and the peppers are overdone so i figured I'd try it with cooked meat this time.

Thanks GG. It doesn;t take much for me to cave I can tell you that.

Looks really good there Ron!!!

Especially for somebody that's sick of poultry.

Now I'm going to get something to eat, then I'm going to make dinner!

Glad you got your "fix". Good thing you had things on hand and the time!. I've been known to take the cover off and get a big ol' whiff just to get me through the craving.

Nice looking q-view.

Thanks Bubba.

Nah it's still cooking.

The results will be forthcoming!

Thanks WV but I didn't have the stuff on hand nor the time but sometimes you have to do what you have to do :)

Ok here are the results, the meatloaf was 1/2 gone before I got to take the pics!

Sometimes spur of the moment things turn out the best.
