My name is Jack. I am from Kansas and have been a member here for over 4 years but have only been a reader and subscriber to Jeff's newsletter. I have been a griller for years and have wanted to try my hand at smoking for some time now.

Well, a couple of years ago I got my first smoker, a Masterbuilt electric smoker, and gave it a go. Let's just say my earlier attempts left a lot to be desired. You name it and I screwed it up. I was a bit discouraged but after a little time off I read through the forums and came at it with a new approach. Things greatly improved and I have had very good results thanks to the members of this forum. It was your brains I was picking, unknown to you, and my success is definitely your success.

Thanks again and looking forward to being a poster rather then just a reader.
