I am going to grill several pizzas this evening for freinds and fanily, they requested it

i am making my own dough for this, the recipe is very simple and one batch will make 3 pizza's they are 14 inch round.

I am using a lodge cast iron pizza pan to cook them on, besides it tasting very good on cast iron , my wife works there .and she got me

some awsome stuff at the outlet store.

This is the dough rising for 2 hrs                                                                                  Lodge cast iron pizza pans

and lodge cast iron is made in the U.S.A.

Getting everything setup now veggies are cut up charcoal on the grill meat precooked

Get grill as hot as you can

out your dough onto stone or pizza pan

Add your sauce I used classico traditional pizza sauce

Add whatever toppings you like

Place it on the grill. I put a peice of hickory wood to give it a smokey flavor

put a tin foil hood on my upper rack to deflect heat back down

I also rotate the pizza pan 1/4 turn every 2 minutes after you make a full revelution

check bottom of crust. mine are usually done in 8 mimutes

Finished all meat pizza, just slice and eat. i transfered the pizza to a cookie sheet

the cast iron pan will keep cooking crust after you remove it from the grill can burn it

Is this the play-by-play pizza I missed while waiting in the pastrami? I'm moving next door. Your friends and family are lucky!

Thank you for compliment and the point RMMurray, i was done with pastrami before i started grilling pizza, just waited to post pics at same time last night.

Thank you also shannot, I use a cast iron pizza pan from lodge cast iron. i tried it on a regular pizza pan like you would use in the oven but i burnt my crust also.

i have never used a pizza stone so can't comment on that one.  it really don't take long to cook that crust  about 8 minutes with my cast iron pan, also i  pre cook my italian sausage

in a skillet, pepperoni ,canadian bacon, bacon  are pre cooked when you buy them. the aluminum foil tent will reflect heat back down to the top of your pizza. Keep trying you will get it!!

Thanks Gary I can't take all credit though as my wife and 2 sons helped especially with the concrete mixing and pouring which is the worst part, then my carpenter friend framed the enclosure for me so not just me.....lol
