I just bought a low end Walmart special Great Mountain Series gas propane smoker and have done 3 chickens and a rack of swine short ribs that the crowd at work RAVE about so I am on the way to "smokin' greatness"....with your help that is

As my handle suggests I am retired military, the only branch I was not in since 1971 was the Coast Guard, I spent too much time in the Armored Cavalry and did not get a chance to try out the U.S.C.G.

Anyway-When I am not at the range bustin' caps or workin' for the County, I am smokin' somethin' and I HATE cooking the same old thing so my long range goal is to smoke every type of meat known to man before this old trooper dies

Welcome to the forum. I was born and raised out there (Glendale) wish I could make it back, but it hasn't happened yet. Bet you don't need much fuel to hold the temps out there. I stick ought to get you to 225. LOL

Thanks for the warm welcome guys-I'll get some pics out this weekend cause Mrs Winks wants either spareribs or chicken, for Sundays playoff games
