    My name is Mike. Live in the Detroit area and grew up in New Orleans. Love to cook and ,of course, love to eat. Been grillin forever and picked up smokin about 12 years ago. Love smokin shoulders, briskets, ribs, fresh fish, chicken and turkey. Interested in curing also. Getting ready to do my first whole hog, so I started doing some searching and found this forum, and of course had to join right away. Can't wait to gather all the info and tips that i can stuff into whats left of my mind! Thanks in advanced for any and all help that ya'll might provide![​IMG]

      Pitmasterme,,Ya'll are just up the road from me.Give me a PM sometime and we'll get together .  I too was a Chef, and now I just Smoke Meat and enjoy good times with friends.I am my Family's Caterer and do parties for them and neighbors/friends.Be glad to have you down for a cook some time.Bring your own Beverage as (unless my Boy is here) I can't drink anymore[​IMG].
