Thanks Dutch...That saved some headache...Won't be looking for a "Big Block" I guess.

Before I bought my Big Block I asked CFM if they had plans on making the Big Block stainless model again. I remember them telling me that a well known company was going to sell it in their stores in Canada. I believe the company was Bass Pro Shops and the stainless Big Block would only be available in the stores in Canada if the stores chose to order them and would not be available thru Bass Pro Shop internet sales. Someone please call CFM to be sure about this and provide us with an update.

Which choice would you prefer?
1. A stainless Big Block for $400
2. A regular Big Block with $210 left over for propane
3. A regular Big Block with money left over for another regular or perhaps a better Big Block replacement in a few years.

Since I live in South Louisiana where we have 9 months of summer and 3 months of Spring/Fall, keeping a regular Big Block hot is not an issue at all. For those in North Dakota weather may pose a problem. A different set of rules there for sure.

You can still get a Big Block, but not in stainless steel.

If HD is Home Depot they probably won't have one in the store. I tried to order a GOSM into a HD store to save on shipping and was told it is an internet only item.

I eventually ordered mine through these guys http://epod2000.com/great_outdoors_smoker.htm. The unit arrived fast and in excellent shape so I can recommend them if it is the way you decide you want to go. I like you wanted to see one in person, but couldn't find one anywhere.
