Not a professional smoker or BBQ man. Just an avid amateur. Have 2 smokers and 2 grills. Live just below San Antonio, Texas. Ride motorcycles, and creat various meat offereings in my spare time. Have modified a couple propane box smokers to my liking.

Yes, I'm sure our usual welcome hounds will be yapping at your heels, myself included. Yap yap!

I very much enjoyed visiting San Antonio a few years ago, though it was on business (training people in the commissary at Lackland). Seeing the Alamo was on my bucket list, and now I know what you see when you turn around and look in the opposite direction. Smelling the pi$$ from the carriage horses made me flehmen. But that belongs on a different board.

When I drove back into town on the old military highway, I could have sworn that I smelled onions. I looked to my right, and there was a salsa factory.

Now I'm thirsty and it isn't even 13:00 yet.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a wet, rainy and chilly day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Lonestar, Welcome to the site. You will find many who are always ready to offer their help. There is tons of knowledge here. My wife and I have been to San Antonio several times and we love it. Especially the Riverwalk and all of the great food. Good luck to you and good smoking, Joe
