I was only able to find a flat cut brisket on short notice. can anyone tell me what the smoking time per lbs would be. I was told on a whole packer cut it is 1 1/2 hours per pound, I assume it would be different, but you know what happens when you assume.

thanks

The Approximate time per pound would be the same but Smoke it by Temp and not time...

For pulling take it to 190º, for slicing 180º...

thanks so much, I am a complete newbie, only 1 8lb butt under my belt. What and where is the roll call.

it could go from 6 hr to 10 or 11 hr cook between 225 and 250
i foil mine in a foil pan cover at 160 and take it 195 let it set 1or 2
hr it is fine use the juice out of the pan to keep it moist when you
warm it up so fine
