Well my first batch of brats went so, so. (See other post) I used cabelas spicy beer brat kit. Well i ended up with 66 brats and cooked up some. They are super spicy! Almost to the point that you cant eat them. Is there any way to tone them down? (Possibly simmer in sugar water or something?)
Now i know why the kits were on clearance. Help!

Are the remaining brats cooked or still fresh?

If they are cooked, they are what they are.  If they are still fresh, uncooked and just stuffed and ready, you have options.  You could pull the uncooked meat out and mix it with additional meat to cut the spice to meat ratio.  Also while mixing you might want to add in some honey to help cut the fiery spice.  It will be a trial and error to get the ratios right, but you could work on it with a small measured amount, do a fry test, and adjust as necessary.

ML,  thaw out and squeeze the meat out  of the casings and as DW said add more meat to cut down on the spice. You can then restuff or freeze in bulk for pattties.

Frozen should not be a problem.  Just defrost in the fridge to keep them in the temp safe zone.  It may take a day or two.

Yep...Just handle with extra care. Defrost properly, keep all cold and while reworking and freeze properly in a single layer. More meat is all you can do. Do taste testing, you will probably need to add more salt at a minimum...JJ
