Bringing Pulled pork for the family christmas eve dinner tomorrow and chicken for dinner tonight.

Threw it in the smoker at 9 this morning. I'm getting so hungry waiting for it to cook.

So now your off and running towards a nice smoke. I'll have to keep an eye on this one too.
 
That took forever.

Pork Shoulder




1 that got shredded at 1:30 in the morning



I shredded the 2nd one and then went to sleep.

Both the chicken and pork came out great. They're was nothing left of the chicken and everyone loved it, great smoky flavor

I used the Mes 40 that I just bought and never really hit 225 degrees, I think it peaked out at 218. It was about 45 degrees over here in the bay, could that be the reason why? Does that mean the heating element was running the whole time.
 
Yeah, I went a little light on the rub because I picked up the new rub sweet mesquite seasoning from costco and have never tried. I'd rather be safe than sorry but you're right. The pork came out great but maybe next time it'll be awesome.
