First smoke with my new Masterbuilt 30". I guess my wife thought I belonged on the nice list this year! I found an ~8# pork butt and ~3# brisket and applied the same rub to each. Butt smoked for 11 hours @ 235 to 200F, brisket smoked for 5 hours @ 235 to 190F. Both were wrapped in foil at ~170F. Both rested for about an hour wrapped in a towel after the came out. I also made some bourbon BBQ sauce to go with the meat. Everything turned out very tasty, and my homebrewing equipment now has some legitimate competition for garage / basement space with my new hobby.
