First Butt

  1. Going to smoke my first butt tomorrow on my Traeger Grill and my question is has anyone ever tried a combo of Apple Juice and Peach Snapps? I did a search but nothing popped. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  2.  The apple juice ALWAYS works, and some mix it with alcohols. The peach snapps sounds tempting. If you do it please let us know how it goes.
  3. Well for testing reasons mixed 3oz's of apple juice to 1oz of peach snapps and gave a taste it was alright but think I will just go with Apple Juice.

    can't go wrong with ap, I add salt and pepper to mine

    Apple juice is great, never blended any Alc. with it.
  6. I'm a big fan of mixing whiskey with my apple juice... Mostly Jack Daniels or a peaty scotch... Sometimes I'll even throw in some brown sugar just for kicks... Pork is fun!!! It's like the superhero of meat... and it's delicious!!!

    We never use alcohol, but then again we never use just plain ole apple juice either so i reckon i just can't offer any advice.  We usually use apple cider vinegar (along w/ a few spices and veggies) for a spritz...

    Jack and apple juice sounds good.  I will have to try that.

    A lot of the guys (and gals), seem to like the captain on their butts. I used famous grouse scotch the last time and it was great. 3 to 1 apple juice to booze. Also as you probably know the alcohol gets cooked out so you are just getting the flavor and sugars.
