Ok I got a invite Saturday to come over to a fish fry. So after I got of work around noon I bought my beer picked up the wife and kid and went on out. When I got there a buddy of mine said he had a brisket that he wanted smoked. I am new to smoking so I didn't recognize this smoker he had, it was a eletric and it was vertical.

I got it seasoned up good, I all ready had the smoker going so I threw it on fat cap up and let it smoke for 2 &1/2 -3 hrs. Then I pulled it off wrapped it in foil and let it cook some more for another 1 & 1/2.

The end result was good for my first time doing it, and not knowing I was going to do it.

Sorry I didn't have a camera but next time I will
