Feeling like a fish out of water??

Hello there SMF members.  I am new to smoking and am scheduled to receive my Brinkman TMSE in a couple days. I live in Omaha, Nebraska and have been researching (mostly from SMF) my latest purchase.  I'm a little overwhelmed by everything that goes into being a seasoned smoker.  Just seeing the mods that I need to do to my new smoker makes me a little worried.  I have never smoked anything.  However, I am glad to see that there is such a large support group when it comes to smoking.  Looking forward to the new hobby and hopefully smoking up some good meals.  Needless to say wish I was assembling my new toy right now.

Welcome aboard!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button.
