  4. I would have to guess and say that GBP would be Ground Black Pepper IMHO. CBP is Cracked Black Pepper in the list of Acronym's that I found here somewhere here. Hope this helped.

I have a couple of rubs that are store bought and I use them alot. One is Old Bay Rub and it's nice and alittle spicey and no it's not the same as the seafood seasonings. The other is Ole Country Boy and it's a local rub and pretty darn good.

Jeffs Rub is very good...I also love a recipe on another site called Meathead's Magic Dust. You can Google it...similar to Jeff's and I used it recently on a big cook. I did three large pork shoulders and 3 slabs BB ribs - used all the rub I made that day, and it was very good.

I like the rub I buy from the man who makes Daniels BBQ Sauce.

I also like Ultimate Tailgate™ Classic Kansas City Seasoning & Barbecue Rub

I am not a big fan of rubs but I do like that one Paul, the Ultimate Tailgaters. Thanks again.

This is my base rub of choice. I add cracked 5 pepper on top, then pack on some brown sugar and lightly dust with pepper and rub again after brown sugar begins to melt on meat.

This stuff is a great rub. They been in biz since 1982 and all their products are MSG free. This is available at most markets, if not, $3 a shaker on amazon.com

One shaker will do 12-14 full racks of spare ribs.
