Electric Modifications

I am new to the site & smoking but picked up this smoker cheap....any modifications that can be done to make it better? Is there anyway to remove the element and convert to charcoal?

Never used that particular smoker before but about a week ago another member asked the same question.
Mikey gave some good advice and you could also contact jspryor and see what they did.
Hopefully this may help but if not someone should be along to help you out.

easy to convert to charcoal just take element out and replace with a charcoal pan.
a little work to control temps but it is possable.

I have not yet began work on my "charcoal conversion" but will let you know how if goes. Perhaps I will attempt to use charcoal this weekend.

Need to figure out what I want to smoke first. So many choices, only two grates.
