trying a new marinade for beef kabobs today. i came up with this on my own, so it's untested; however, it smells and tastes great. i've got 3 lbs of beef round cubes marinating in it as we speak. it seems to be a good fusion of east and west. how will it taste? i'll let you know. the marinade consists of 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/4 cup water (red wine should have been used here, but i have none 1/4 cup kikkoman teriyaki sauce 1 evnelope GrillMates marinade (i used mesquite because it is what we had, but anyone should use their preferred variety) 1 envelope old el paso taco seasoning (low sodium) will let them marinate a few hours, then skewer them up and put them on the gas grill. i rummaged around the pantry and found a box of oriental rice-a-roni and a box of zatarains spanish rice. will combine the two for a side dish.
