I live in tropical Minnesota. I have been grilling for decades but using only charcoal grills. In Sept. of 2015 I purchased a Traeger pellet smoker/grill and just love it. My wife was looking through the cookbook that came with it and started nagging me to try baking a batch of blueberry muffins. Baking on a grill? I gave in and baked up a batch of the best blueberry muffins I have ever tasted. Filled with confidence I baked up a batch of pumpkin bread.Upon tasting my pumpkin bread my wife announced she is going to quite baking. I am a 70 year old VietNam veteran and love to grill during our short summers. Now it looks like I can grill even into winter.

Baking on a grill. I've never thought of that. I may have to look into this more. Welcome! And thank you for your service to our nation!

Thank you. I never thought of baking either.Always thought the baked goods would taste like hamburgers. I don't mean to degrade hamburgers as I have made some excellent burgers. At least using my Traeger Grill they came out moist and very flavorful with just a hint of smoke. I will be trying an apple pie in the near future.
