Scored hams at Safeway on a rain check for 99 cents a pound....regular price $2.69! So with the blazing heat here threw the small one in the CG on my deck at 250 degrees as it was 2 PM and we eat about 6. Happy Hour called at 3 so left the ham do it's thing for an hour. About 4:30 I slathered on some glaze of mixed honey and maple syrup. It was looking pretty darn good...love this 'set it and forget it' technology. Pulled off at 145 IT and let it rest while zapping some asparagus. Really, really good flavor especially on the glazed ends so very happy with the results of the pellet muncher. It held a steady 250-260.....a tad higher than I usually like to double smoke hams at but I was a little short on time. All in all a great summer dinner with enough left for sammies and a nice hunk of bone for a mess of beans on Saturday......Willie

just a light coating of rub

smelled awesome

light supper.....horseradish mustard rounded it out for me

Wow this looks good. I just love that flavour of the double smoked ham and this one looks stellar.

It is great when you can get a good price on sale like that and turn out a meal this good.
