Howdy, Im Q from good ole SE North Carolina!

I go a Char Griller DUO with a side Firebox that is about as good as it gets!

I like to Grill as well, so I got the best of both worlds!
Anyone looking seriously for a smoker / griller at an affordable price, look no further then here. I got it at Lowes for $299 TOTAL! (with side Firebox)

Welcome to SMF!

I'm a pretty new member myself, but I just wanted to say howdy, and I love your part of the country. Oh, nothing wrong with good ol Green Country and the Ozarks over here, but I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC in the 90s. Lots of good memories, and some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.

Welcome aboard! I used to live on Topsail Island for a few years. I miss that place tremendously. My first ever pig pickin was down there! Also my first ever pulled pork sammies! Where exactly do you reign from? Well anyway, welcome aboard, you'll find a lot of useful knowledge here and some occasional bad humor.

Welcome to the SMF, and congrats on the new smoker. Looks like you're prepared to do some smokes and Q too!

Welcome to the SMF! Thats a cool smoker-grill setup ya have! I run a Char griller pro with some mods... There are lots of friendly smokin' folks here ... you'll love the place!!

I have a GOSM propane smoker, and I absolutely LOVE it!!
My turkey and hams are the talk of the neighborhood. Funny thing, When I first saw the smoker of my dreams it was at Wal-Mart ( so I guess the makes me related to "Bubba J" ( Google Jeff Dunham if necessary).
I couldn't afford it at the time, but I took my best friend to see it, and damned if he didn't come home with one the next day. He bought the smaller version, not the one I had wanted, but we spent the next year learnig to use his. After I finally got mine, my other neighbor got one also, and we would get into competitions with each other, for bragging rights.

I'm still getting inconsistant outcomes on my brisket, because it seems to be hard to keep the temp low enough at 225 and still produce smoke from the chips. Any Advice???

Hello to all...my home is in okc, ok. I work in Tulsa Oklahoma...just getting started in smoking...bought a Cookshack...so I'm learning and appreciate any advice...Thank you!
