Cuban pork chops q view

  1. this is a family favorite

    butterflied and smashed flat

    [​IMG]

    in the marinade for two hrs

    [​IMG]

    ready for assembly baby swiss

    [​IMG]

    ham

    [​IMG]

    pickles 

    [​IMG]

    more baby swiss

    [​IMG]

    folded up and ready for the grill

    [​IMG]

    off the grill and ready for the plate. had some leftover chops so what to do with it? make a cuban fattie!

    everything in it and ready for the roll

    all done

    all the good stuff on one plate!

  9. thanks everybody the marinade is really easy,I have modified it to my taste so i'll give you the original and you can go from there

    3/4 cup orange juice

    1/2 cup lime juice

    1/3 cup oregano leaves

    6 clove of garlic -chopped    (this is what I thought needed the most adjusting)

    1 teaspoon cumin 

    enjoy!!

    You nailed this one. I am going to be trying this for sure.

    Two questions

    1- About how long would you say it took to cook on the grill?

    2- Have you ever tried them in the smoker say at  around 325+ degrees?

    Windshield, those look obscenely delicious!!!  [​IMG]   What a fantastic idea for a cubano.....all I could possibly imagine adding would be the crusty roll to put the meat into, but as you plated them was fine enough for me. 

    That fatty was also another  brilliant take....and you sure made it look picture perfect, too. Gonna have to try one myself soon. Wow. Thanks for sharing the marinade too....sounds tasty.
