A friend of mine just ordered one of these electric smokers. Does anybody have one or know anything about them?

Hey RIP I beleive those are made in the USA smokers that come in various sizes. Here is a link to their forums: http://forum.cookshack.com/eve/forums

I was looking into getting one of those when I ran across the Masterbuilt and decided to purchase it instead. Everything I read about the Cookshacks was good but the size and price difference just didn't do it for me. I've heard the customer support is awesome though.[IMG]

Hey RIP. I have been on their site quite a few times. It seems that everyone likes those smokers but they are pricey. Its proably one of those, "you get what you pay for" things. I get a monthly letter from Cookshack. Its always interesting. [IMG]

He's in his 70's and wants to learn how to smoke meat. He is a very good cook, and is one of those you get what you pay for kind of people. I was just wondering about it, didn't know anything about them. I told him about the site so I'm looking for him to join when he gets it.

Everything I have heard about CookShack smokers is nothing but good. I have looked at them in the store and they appear to be top quality. I would like to have one but it is not in my budget.

I met a guy a few years back tht had owned a CookShack for about a year and a half at the time and he absolutely loved his.

I have 2 of them and they are awesome.

I start my butts or briskets in the evening, cook them all nite.
Foil in the morning and hold at 150 till supper.

Sure beats feeding logs to my offset all nite long.

  8. [IMG]I have a Cookshack Smoker (small model). The tag on the back of the smoker said it was manufactured in 1992 and I purchased it in 1993. This has been a very good smoker for me. The smoker cooks very evenly and is easy to keep at the correct temp thoughtout the smoking process. I've never had any problems with it but it is small and I have outgrown the small size of this smoker. I still use it but only for small batches of smoked meat. The Cookshack is an expensive smoker but after having the smoker about 14 years and having no problems with it--you get what you pay for.

I would include a picture but I'm a new member and have not figured that out quite yet.

    Double T.

Wow impressive features-- Only one probe connected to the computer though.
i guess that would be attached to th largest piece of mrat or one would have to try to get items equal in size.

This is a very tempting smoker
