Ok need some input please...

Right now i have 6 butts on the good old Traeger, and then i was planning tomorrow for the cookout to make 4 slabs BB's, and 20 Chix legs. but i need to haul my smoker to the location for tomorrow,

what if i would cook the BB's tonight after i pull the butts out? or would cooking the Chix legs tonight...

how should i save and which method or reheating tomorrow? (they want to eat about 3pm tomorrow)

Thanks

Jim

I dont know if ribs re-heat very well. I mean I'll eat almost anything any time, but I would almost say cold smoked chicken legs would be better than re-heating ribs.

Smoke the legs and put them in some tin foil pans while the ribs smoke?

we reheat ribs all the time, I think they are better the next day, pulled pork too! Wrap em in foil and reheat at a low temp 200-250 for 30-45 minutes.

If you are reheating a whole pan, it will take an hr. You can spray them down with a mixture of 2 parts apple juice and 1 part BBQ sauce, before you cover them for the reheat. Cut up ribs 1-2 bone sections, will reheat faster than whole or half racks too.Keep em moist, the cut up ribs will dry out faster than the racks of course.

If it was me I would do the ribs ahead of time and the chicken that day to keep it moist, but thats just me.

I agree with the Capt. Re-heated ribs are pretty tasty and are easy to heat up.

My suggestion would be to smoke them to temp, slice them, place them in an oven roaster bag. When it comes to re-heating, throw the bag of ribs in a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes, and you'll be good to go.
