Hi all! I got a Brinkman Gourmet smoker from my kids for Christmas (I knew I raised them right!

). I have made a couple of the suggested mods already, will finish the rest this week. Can't wait to start experimenting!

Thanks in advance for the help I'll be getting,
Jim from Rochester

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations for raising such great kids! Can't wait to start seeing your qview!

Naw, man. Livin' in Phoenix makes the winter seem shorter. 3 days when it's under 50, and in the 30s when I get up. That's all I can take, too! I've got tons of relatives in and around the TC, most of whom I haven't met. My sis went to Carleton, married a Bloomington boy, I was roomies with a guy from Princeton when I was in the AF decades ago, my cousin has land and a cottage on Blue lake there--Princeton or Zimmerman somewhere...on and on...And my 2nd fave author is John Sandford!
Welcome to the forum, Jim. All your answers are here. Just ask the right questions!! :o)

Jim, you've managed to get off on the right path with both feet firmly planted. Joining the SMF, and getting a new smoker. It's all good my friend.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new smoker.

Welcome tho the SMF my fellow Minnesotan. You found a great place, thats for sure. I can't believe how many newbies we have lately from MN. I think we are going to need out our own sub forum here before too long LOL.
Great to have you with us, learn what you can and ask questions. Were all here to help you out.

Welcome Jim! What part of the state are you in? You will find everyone here as helpfull as can be.

You are right Meat Hunter there is getting to be quite a contingent of us Minnesoootans here. I'm thinking we need to have a smoke gathering sometime this summer. We have a beautiful campground just south of me in Barnum. I happen to know the owner quite well. With a little notice I am sure he would be glad to set us all up in a group.
Something to think about...
