8Lb butt after rub
5:30am I fired up the smoker. About 6am I came inside and told my wife "The temp is set and I'm Ready"
Then she said "Well get your butt out there and start smoking!"
butt...., No butts about it get out there!
So I went Butt I didn't care.
Ok I'll stop
It seems this cut is the butt of alot a jokes!
You can almost smell the sweet aroma of Hickory and AJ spritz!
My O my only about 5 hours in! Can't wait to pull this puppy!
Once it reached 165, I wrapped it in foil and finished in the oven.
Finally hit 200 about 11:30. I wrapped it some towels and placed it a cooler til this mornin'.
Boy that smoke penetrated deep! I was SOOOO GOOD!
Used some SaFlaQuer's finishing sauce of course.
Here's some leftovers. Who wants a sammie?
