I  WOULD LIKE TO HEAR HOW SOME OF YOU SMOKE WITH CHARCOAL, I HAVE A 250 GAL OIL DRUM THAT I USE WITH CHARCOAL AND WOOD, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET SOME IDEAS FROM YOU FOLKS ON THE FORUM HERE. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME...

That is one heck of a sized smoker. Can you post some photos of it? There are so many configurations that a photo would hep with the advice.  Also let us know what type of meat your smoking and if you had any issues.

And by the way.... Welcome to the most comrehensive site about smoking meat on the planet!

Hi AJ!

Great looking rig.  Very nice. Does it have a fire box attached to the side?  if there is not one you would want to use indirect heat on the unit you show.  ...Meat on one side and the heat on the other. Brian
 
Thanks brian, I don't have a fire box attached just yet. I do want to add one soon and I do use the indirect method. I think it would take a box about the size of a 55 gal drum. I don't know if I want to add a box that big and maybe just keep doing the indirect thing
