Hello, new to the forum. What brings me here is I recently purchased a home built in the late 60's that incorporated a big smoker into the build. The back patio has a rather large brick smoker in disrepair. I am pretty excited about getting it into working condition but after reading posts on proper smoker dimensions I am thinking it may not work so well (efficiency). Any thoughts on how to proceed? enlarge the firebox? Line the cookbox with firebrick? The chimney seems way too large as well. Thanks in advance for any input!
Cook box 24" x 33"deep 58" long including chimney portion
Chimney 10' tall 22" x 22"
Fire box 24" long 18" wide 15" tall
