Hello all-

Well I'm getting ready for a 4th of July bash at my place. Planning to smoke a nice brisket-sneaking some Italian sausages in there while it's smokin...

But I'm looking for a new brisket rub recipe. Kind of tired of mine. Maybe I could get a few suggestions? Sometging with a little bite to it, maybe? I'm all ears-uh, eyes. Thanks in advance for anything that'll RUB me the right way...

Go real simple.
Just salt and lots of black pepper, you'll be surprised how good it it.

Here is one that I really like:

1/4 cup coarse salt
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sweet paprika
2 tablespoons pure chili pepper
2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

enjoy,
Mike
