Has anyone used the rub or marinade for brisket from the "Dadgum that's good" book? what other rubs and marinades are recommended?

for brisket I keep it simple-salt- CBP-onion and garlic powder- inject with said mix diluted with your fav. liquid.

With beef I find less is more - salt, fresh pepper, and some granulated garlic. Go a little bit heavy on the pepper - without going super nuts. I also really like the flavor of mesquite with beef.
