Hello, Everyone!

My name is Brett and I live just outside of Denver, CO.  I am a newbie to smoking and was lucky enough to get a Masterbuilt Sportsman Propane smoker for Christmas.  I just recently (last weeekend) was able to get my first smoking session in and it was really fun even with the snow cutting it a little short on Saturday.  I will post some information on how that went a little later with some pictures.  In addition to smoking I am also a homebrewer and really enjoy that as well.  I also want to say thanks in advance to all the people that will probably help me with my questions along the way!  Great site!

Welcome to the board, Brett! You'll have fun here. I'm in central Ohio with an offset stick burner, and 8F for a low tonight.

Brett,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it.

Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
Keep Smokin!!!
