Just bought my first smoker, a Masterbuilt John McLemore signature.

Looking to reading good tips, got directed to this forum via another help site.

I've done a pork picnic roast and a Butterball turkey breast so far, and

I am VERY happy with the result. The time required to get the

meat to 165 was about 9 or 10 hours with the setting at 225. I've read

some advice to run it about 240 instead, to make it more like 5 or 6 hours,

and I'm going to try that. Very happy with the level of smoke flavor I got,

though.

I look forward to reading all the expert advice and recipes!!

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a pretty nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
