I've had this recipe before and I enjoy it. My steaks are marinating for grilling tomorrow.

1/4 cup bourbon
1/8 cup salt
1/8:cup garlic powder
3 tbs ground pepper

Combine meat and marinade in gallon zip lock bag. Let sit for at least two hours.

Thanks for the recipe........................

Just so you know, I usually only have this sit for about 2-4 hours.  The alcohol 'cooks' the meat if left too long.  I had these sit overnight, since I didn't have time to do a reverse sear last night. This was my first reverse sear.  I also seem to have a thermometer off my at least 10 degrees.   Funny it checked out at 32 and 212....  Hmm  I took my steak off at 130-135 and it was medium to medium-well.  I've have used this marinade with no salt and pepper and added a rub before cooking.  Both ways are good to me.
