Beginner!

Hello All! My name is Rick and I live in NW AR. I've never been on a forum or used a smoker. I've grilled for years. My wife and children got me an OK Joe's smoker for fathers day. Looking forward to many great meals with input and advice from you all. Thanks!

Welcome to the SMF Family...There is plenty of experienced folks around here willing to help. It is a good idea for Newbies to sign up for Jeff's Free 5 day E-course. Good info and covers the basics. The Search function is great to get info on any topic and if you still need more or clarification, post your question in the appropriate forum or PM the author for more detail. Thank you! It'll take a little time, but I'll get settled in eventually. Seasoned smoker this past weekend. Plan on smoking ribs and whole chickens this coming Saturday.

I used Jeff's rub recipe on ribs and chicken. Everyone loved it. Great results on the first time smoking.
