Hey everyone!

I just bought my smoker yesterday. Its a Brinkman Smoke-n-Pit Off Set Charcoal Grill and Smoker. Ive never used a smoker before but I would really like to learn. We LOVE all things BBQ in my house. My husband and I travel out of town for his job a lot and we're always looking for good BBQ wherever it is that we land. I live in Adairsville, GA and our local BBQ spot, Character's BBQ, just competed on BBQ PitMasters. His BBQ is soo good and it's inspired me to learn how to learn how to smoke all kinds of meats. I grew up in the kitchen and on the grill so I can pretty much grill and cook anything. I wouldnt say Im the best cook but I do pretty good. I grew up on southern food (not always fried) and BBQ especially! Im brand new at smoking and I would really like to hear from all of you. Tips, Techniques, and any pointers you may have. Thanks for letting me share. I look forward to my first smoker experience!!

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

If you didn't read the Terms of Service notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. Rule #11......"Off Site Links are not allowed here at SMF" is something new. There are other simple guidelines for all of us to remember as we interact here.

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
