So on new years eve I had some beef meatballs that were itching to go for a ride on the GOSM. So I decided to make Moinks. But no toothpicks so I went with a Kabob. I also had pepperoni so I said what the hey. Put a pepperoni on the outside of the meatball then wrapped in bacon. Coated in rub and cooked. Took about 80 minutes or so. At 60 minutes I coated with a BBQ sauce that was sent to me from scpatterson. Thanks Chris

    Thanks for looking.

Oh wow, those look perfectly smoked! Love the addition of the pepperoni to the outside, did it end up making much of a flavor difference in the end?

They were good and it was a nice kick BUT didnt go the best with a sweet BBQ Sauce. I will try it again but maybe not with that sauce may try a Cherry Chilpolte Sauce or no sauce and just rub.

They are bacon wrapped meatballs that are smoked with a sweet touch of TBS.

Norm you would just use a toothpick to hold the bacon on and make them little finger food items

Oh wow what a great idea! I'm shaking my head in wonder..I love it! Pepperoni outside a meatball. What a great combo and thanks for sharing...I'm with you on the idea that maybe a rub or spicier sauce might be better with them; pepperoni has an edge to it that won't go with everything.

Looks great! Doesn't matter if you use toothpicks, kebabs or BBQ baskets. They still come out good.[IMG]

They look great Brian. Would you do the kabob method again or go back to the toothpick method next time?

  20. Looks good. note to self. Must try kabobs

OK pardon mine, but. I'm computer illiterate, however the word Moinks among others appear in green to me and when I hover my mouse or hand over it it gives a definition. Does every one's computer do this or is it the way my wife has it set for me to help me with problems IE: tutoruial settings?
