Beef Bacon

Was perusing Rytek's Book and saw a recipe for beef bacon. It seems to be made from a brisket.

My wife is allergic to pork so I need to know if anyone has tried this and your opinion of how it came out.

Tomorrow i will start a pork belly for the rest of us, but I hate to leave her out.

It's really nothing like pork bacon, more like a pastrami bacon. I've done it a couple times and it's good but I prefer pork, Try it, you might like it ( or the wife might which is more important)
