Beautiful day for a shoulder smoke!

    I haven't been on the forum all winter, but the sun is finally out here in Iowa!  My wife and I are hosting a little party for my brother today as he is graduating from the police academy this morning.  Put this 7-8lb butt on yesterday at about 4:30. Slathered in yellow mustard, Jeff's rub then let sit for a few hours in the refrigerator. On the Masterbuilt propane with hickory chunks and no water at 225.  I was aiming for it do be done this morning around 8am.  Pulled it off at about 8:20am, IT was 191 and it separated from the bone nicely, very nice bark.  It is resting under foil now, but I can't wait to open it up!

    Wow, great bark.  I would bet you will really enjoy that one.
